Could it be possible when in compare mode to have the option of displaying a selected graph in place of the swing?1 vote
Thanks, we agree this would be very useful and we will probably do some improvements in this direction. We will update this post when we have more concrete plans for it.
The computer would still show normal display but the 2nd tv would show down the line and face on. Currently you can only pick one view. It would also be helpful to continue to replay swing until a new swing is captured.1 vote
Thanks, we have had some requests on configuring the feedback screen already. It is not planned short-term due , but if we get enough interest we might bump the priority on it.
See suggestion on showing CoP on feedback screen: https://swingcatalyst.uservoice.com/admin/forums/121365-general/suggestions/9492255-getting-the-cop-from-the-balance-plate-to-the-feed
Instead of having the dropdown menu, i suggest to have the clubs as a button bar with small buttons. There is unused spaced at the right of the dropdown. Like Dr, 3W, 5W,...
Selection would be faster and very easy also with touchscreen.2 votes
We will consider how to best implement improvements to the club selector.
Sorting the stack with the swing video previews.

Thanks, we will discuss this.
To reduce the video clip down from 5 seconds.5 votes
Hi, this is currently scheduled for about two versions down the road. Both trimming during playback, as well as changing the default capture duration from 5 seconds to N seconds before/after trigger.
Sometimes I would love to record a student doing drills that require more than three seconds of video. ie. slow motion swings. Would love an option to record more video with using a trigger.3 votes
We have planned to support a configurable recording duration. Today it is 5 seconds, 3 seconds before trigger and 2 seconds after, but we want the user to be able to choose any amount of duration before/after trigger. Would that be a solution for your request?
Having the option to adjust cameras without going out of live mode.2 votes
Hi, we plan to move all settings to be available in playback and capture modes, so you no longer have to exit to the main menu to change things. We don’t have an ETA on this, but will update you when we know more.
Live feedback of the Cop would help in training14 votes
This is something we definitely want to do, but is currently not high on our priority list.
A workaround many customers use is to mirror the workstation PC monitor image to a wall-mounted TV so you can see the software and its data boxes there. Especially when using Data Centric view mode, with two large data boxes, this works pretty well.
"Send Swing" Button to easily share a swing with a student without doing a screencast or going to the SW Web
Direct, easy send swing button, that send an email to the student with the Swing videos5 votes
How do you expect the share to work?
- Share the .take file with video + data (requires Swing Catalyst to play) or just the video clips?
- If video clips, just some of the angles or all angles?
- Share by email or share via Online?
The ability to set the plate into "training mode" and be able to set parameters of COP shifts. Eg set the shift pressure 70% in back foot or 75% lead foot and give bio feedback live during the swing when the pupil achieves the specific numbers entered by the coach. I think this would set us apart from all other pressure plates. having the ability to train in this way would be a great tool for our clients to gain true understanding of "their" feels/focus to achieve the coaches & players desired pressure shifts.7 votes
We decided to give this a go in the coming months. Hopefully we will have something for you to play with this year.
It takes now 25 seconds on my high speed gaming PC to process a swing captured with 500 fps. I would like to see something like max. 5 seconds4 votes
In 7.0 we released significant performance improvements on capture speed, among other things.
For computers with GPU chipsets Intel HD3000 or later, which are most modern desktop and laptop computers, we are seeing a a reduction of the capture process to between 50-75% of the duration seen at version 6.2, for high-resolution or high frame rate cameras.
We are still investigating how we can further speed things up even more and will update this ticket when we know more.
When you select a golfer it would be nice if we can sort the golfers on last name / first name. Now it is on first name / last name1 vote
Good suggestion, we will make this happen.
The ability to stream video from the new iPhone into the software would be huge3 votes
We absolutely agree, but it’s a big project and did not make the short list for this round. We will definitely revisit this sometime later.
We would like to see a process where old swing videos could be archived off to an external device. An example is that a user currently has 1tb of swing data which is causing space issues and slowing the system down.6 votes
Good suggestion, we have considered different ways to let users clean up their database.
What if you need to access the archived data at some point?
Would this work?
- We store the archived recordings in a folder of your choice as .take files, structured by a folder per golfer
- If you need to play some archived recordings, you import the .take files you want back into Explorer
Also, how about a clean up tool you can run to remove/archive all recordings that have never been opened? We see that somewhere around 70% of recordings are never opened and probably not that interesting to keep.
- Don't see your idea?
